This is one of those “places of power” where you’ll make warm memories that last for years. The house is beautiful, and offers more than you’d expect — with bedding and cleanliness at a true 5-star hotel level. Fishing was amazing! Even our 7-year-old caught a few decent basses, yellow perches, and pickerels. Ryan is a fantastic host — easy to communicate with and provides clear, helpful instructions. This place was thoughtfully designed to make you happy. I’ll be back.

Don’t wait — book now! This lake house is absolutely beautiful and so serene. The photos don’t do this place justice; the house is super clean and has a majority of the essentials you will need (toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and even tooth brushes!). The water is clear and the amount of large fish it holds is a fisherman’s dream! We took advantage of the kayaks and boats daily during our stay. Owner made sure to have propane tanks stocked, and firewood making packing much easier for us! We can’t wait to come back with our growing boys and dogs for many years to come. This place is truly a peaceful spot and although there are neighbors, it felt secluded which is what we wanted.

My fiancé and I stayed for a much-needed getaway and we had a simply amazing time! The house was even better than the pictures! Private, beautiful cabin with lots of character, very cozy and clean. Right on the crystal clear lake, as promised, with paddle boards and kayaks! The views of the lake (both inside and out) are spectacular and very romantic. We loved that everything was clearly labeled in the house, it felt very natural navigating the entire house. We had a great time fishing and paddle boarding on the lake! Ryan was a fantastic host, very responsive and gave us an amazingly flexible checkout. He also was kind enough to give us recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. 10 out of 10, honestly one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. If you stay, make sure you visit Daisy (a cute pup) at Meljons Farms, who will give you a rock to toss while you shop the farm stand. *Not a complaint but lots of stairs, not a good spot for those with bad knees.*

Ryan’s home is a gem. The home was beyond our expectations. Communication was always key. Accommodation was always prompt; we did not bother so much, he made sure to reach out on his own time and that is very much appreciated. Lastly, we had service animals and for the first time they tried and learned to swim. I appreciated the fact that he allowed us to have our whole family with us without any hesitation and only welcoming words. Anyone who is looking for a place that has a service animal or just in general looking for a place that they can stay at and feel completely at home, I would highly recommend this place. It’s beautiful, people are friendly, especially the neighbors. I hope this is a place that I will be welcomed back to revisit. Thank you, Ryan. Many blessings to you and your beautiful home. I wish to come back to The Bros Den, we loved everything about it. Thank you for having us again.

A very peaceful and quiet lake house. Great views across the lake, and we enjoyed using the paddle board and kayak. We loved sitting in the lakeside gazebo with drinks watching the fish and enjoying the breeze. It was clean and tidy with high quality linen. A great place to chill and relax.

This is a gem, beautiful and peaceful just by the lake Shehawken with lots of activities to do at the lake or around the area. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Ryan is very helpful and responsive. The lake house is cute and cozy. The kitchen is pretty small, but works well for a couple without kids. The couch is big, but not the most comfy. The house needs a bit of love too — cleaning spider webs, dust, cutting the bush, etc.

Oh man… what can I say? First of all, this space is INCREDIBLE! Just absolutely breathtaking views, from a number of different vantage points throughout the cottage. Waking up in the morning (in the big bedroom), and not only seeing the lake first thing, but being able to open a sliding door to access the balcony was the BEST! Now, I will tell you, I have been coming to this lake since I was an infant. My family’s ancestry traces back to this lake for 200+ years. My great grandfather built the cottage next door, as well as the white cottage down below it, on the neighboring shore. So, I’ve long appreciated everything about this lake and the people around it. I have a special tie to it that makes staying here that much more comforting. I have never rented from another cottage owner, so I was a little nervous about how it would feel but, I’m so glad my sibling and I pulled the trigger on this place! It was spotless and well decorated to boot! I will be coming back!

Nice, quiet, peaceful place to stay after long work days. Ryan was helpful in giving food recommendations and ready to respond with any issues. We didn’t have any but it was reassuring to know the host is on top of things. All in all would be a great place to get away from the stress of life for a bit!

Had a great couple of days skiing with my sons. 4 of us at the cabin, great living space for us to watch the football games or play cards at the dinette. Beds very comfy — we all slept well! Ryan was very clear with his instructions to get in which was very helpful. Had a blast — thanks!

We loved Ryan’s place. The house has character, the main bedroom is Insta-worthy and the dining area with a little coffee nook overlooking the lake is my favorite part of the house. The surroundings are just gorgeous. There are stone steps leading to the house and down to the lake, lots of outside sitting areas, beautiful ferns, and other plants everywhere, huge white hydrangea in front of the house was in full bloom — just a fairytale-like setting. The area is private and quiet, not too many neighbors. Lake is calm, you can easily kayak and paddle board.

Ryan’s place was a great place to enjoy a rural lakeside weekend. We enjoyed everything as advertised in the listing and enjoyed the scenery. All steps were described very well and there were no bits of confusion on check-in and check-out.

We decided to spend our vacation away from Philadelphia and found this place, and I recommend it to everyone! The house is very cozy and clean, the view of the lake is wonderful. We spent the whole time outside in the gazebo, swimming in the lake and fishing. Ryan was always in touch and very helpful.

My husband and I had a great long weekend at Ryan’s place. It was right on the water which was great for dockside fishing and cooling off when it got too hot. The gazebo was perfect to lounge under if you wanted some shade. The house was very clean and plenty of room inside and outside. The kitchen was well stocked and had pots, pans, and utensils if you wanted to cook. There are great views of the lake when having your morning coffee or dinner at the table. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night.

Ryan has a really beautiful cabin right on a lake. It was even nicer than the pictures and was absolutely spotless. Although it is in a remote location, Ryan gave very clear instructions and our stay was flawless. I appreciated that Ryan reached out before approving the rental to inform us of snow on the entrance road and to make sure that we had 4-wheel drive vehicles. He was extremely responsive and reached out numerous times during our stay to make sure everything was OK. We used the cabin for a ski weekend and it was about a 30-minute scenic drive to Elk Mountain. One caveat is there are not many restaurants nearby so you may want to bring food.

Ryan’s place is definitely a great gem on the lake. I’d say even better looking in person than the pictures. We went there in the fall when the temperatures were low and it rained on of the days but still have a very enjoyable stay. I would imagine it would be an amazing place to stay in the summer warm months and enjoy the various water activities including row boat, kayak, SUPs. One thing I’d recommend is bringing food supplies with you as the grocery stores are lacking in variety and the local food restaurants are average at best. The main bedroom bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean with good warm water pressure. Would recommend.

I usually look for NEPA rentals that are close to local ATV trails, being on some body of water is a requirement, being somewhere absolutely stunning is a bonus. We (husband, I, two young kids) arrived at night in a downpour and thanks to Ryan’s instructions had no issue finding the driveway. The cabin is absolutely charming. Old wood walls/floors, original pieces, new modern amenities throughout. Our kids LOVED the basement (you have to go outside to get in, amazing lake view from inside). We got to use the row boat (youth and adult life vests available) and firepit (stocked with wood). The small downstairs bedroom is PERFECT for a nap. The landscape was breathtaking, literally the best rental I’ve seen. My only concern would be for those who lack mobility because of the stone steps down to the cabin and down to the water, up to the loft, though we had no issues. The cabin is also stocked with towels, pillows, tp, dishes, cookware, cooking supplies. We can not wait to come back!
